AmeriHealth Caritas Ohio Expands Health Care Access with Addition of Two Large Systems to its Network

AmeriHealth Caritas Ohio, a managed care organization serving Medicaid enrollees and part of the AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies, announced that it has expanded its provider network in western and southern Ohio, providing its members in those regions additional access to award-winning health care services.^1,2 AmeriHealth Caritas Ohio and the following large health systems have signed agreements to allow health plan members to receive care from their affiliated hospitals, physicians, and other providers:

Premier Health is among the largest private, nonprofit, comprehensive health care systems in southwest Ohio. The health system employs 12,000 people and offers five inpatient hospital campuses; an urgent care network; free-standing emergency departments; a large primary and specialty care network; behavioral health and substance abuse services; as well as comprehensive laboratory services and home health services. It is led by a locally based board of trustees.

ProMedica is a mission-based, not-for-profit integrated health care organization headquartered in Toledo. ProMedica operates a physician group of 1,300+ providers, 11 hospitals, outpatient facilities, urgent care centers, a health plan, and 59 assisted living and memory care facilities across 14 states.
